Testimonials

"I really feel I've turned a corner by allowing music and particularly singing back into my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Julie's enthusiasm is infectious. Her knowledge on singing is endless and her capacity to empower a sight to behold. Thank you so much for a wonderful community hub! Now I sing with confidence and conviction.

From the first time I meet Julie I knew I would be in good hands. My singing and confidence has improved so much since I started lessons with her only 8 months ago. She's an excellent vocal coach. I'd recommend her to anyone who wants to learn to sing and is anxious about doing it. Julie is a kind, caring, supportive and knowledgeable teacher with a huge musical background to draw on in her work.

"Having enjoyed singing at home in the kitchen, I plucked up courage to have a lesson, then lessons, with Julie. I'm so glad I did. Julie puts you at ease, makes the sessions fun, teaches you technique, whether you aim to sing just for you, with a group or if you want to sing in a more professional setting/band. More importantly, singing is fun & uplifting. I always come away with a smile"

‘I joined a Singing for Fun group and found myself in a Singing for Fun Community. Great teacher, great singing, great keyboard player and great friendship group! That was 4 years ago and counting’

‘If you love singing, you’ll love singing with Julie even more!’

‘Julie cares about her singers. And she creates a supportive community built around the joy of singing.’

Julie has been amazing our son enjoyed singing but lacked confidence, with help from Julie, Oliver was successful at an audition and now sings with Jesus College Cambridge

‘Singing with Julie is joyful, non-judgemental and jolly good fun. No matter how you feel at the start of a session, by the end you’re on a high.’

"What Julie provides are not just singing lessons - they’re confidence building, rainy day busting, life enhancing singing lessons! Can’t recommend her enough."

About

Julie Bristow

Julie Bristow

I started having singing lessons from the age of 11 which then progressed into me performing professionally from the age of 16 in hotels, clubs and pubs. At 18 I was part of the first performance troupe to go to the Falkland islands. Drama School began in London and performing in musical theatre, leaving Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre 1991. I continued teaching and having my own lessons while my family grew.

For 10 years I lost my confidence and stopped singing. With a supportive friends and family, I built my confidence to start performing and teaching again. I have developed a new passion to help students reach their full potential, building confidence and enjoy singing.
